Immigration Fingerprinting Near Canal Winchester, OH
Immigration fingerprinting covers two separate things that many people confuse: USCIS biometrics appointments (which take place at an Application Support Center) and FBI fingerprinting for immigration petitions. If USCIS sent you an ASC appointment notice, you go to the ASC — not to us. But if your attorney or a consulate needs FBI FD-258 ink cards, or if you need an FBI Identity History Summary for a visa application, we can help. Our Canal Winchester-area office has bilingual staff and processes immigration fingerprints every week.

Applicants for FBI Identity History Summary (personal rap sheet)
Naturalization applicants who need additional fingerprinting
Refugees and asylum seekers needing auxiliary fingerprint records
Legal Requirements
USCIS biometrics collection for applications like I-485, I-131, and N-400 must be done at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC). However, FBI FD-258 fingerprint cards for immigration petitions (used by some embassies, immigration attorneys, and foreign consulates) can be done at any authorized provider. FBI Identity History Summaries for visa applications must be requested through the FBI CJIS division using FD-258 cards.
What to Expect
Tell us at the counter whether you need: FBI FD-258 ink cards, electronic FBI submission, or an Ohio BCI check for a state-level immigration requirement. We'll match the service to your need. Bilingual (Somali, Arabic) staff available.
Turnaround
FBI ink cards: returned same day, you mail to agency. Electronic FBI: 7–21 days.
Cost
FBI ink cards (2 FD-258): $50. Electronic FBI: $42.

Frequently Asked Questions
USCIS sent me a biometrics appointment. Can I come to your office instead?
No. USCIS ASC biometrics appointments must be done at the designated USCIS Application Support Center. They collect additional data (photo, signature) that only the ASC can process. You must attend your ASC appointment.
My visa application requires an FBI clearance. Is that the same as BCI?
No. FBI clearance comes from the FBI CJIS Division, not Ohio BCI. We can roll FD-258 ink cards you submit to the FBI, or submit electronically to FBI. BCI is Ohio-state-only and does not satisfy FBI clearance requirements.
