Ink Fingerprinting & FD-258 Cards Near Columbus, OH
While most Ohio background checks have moved to electronic Live Scan, a significant number of agencies still require traditional ink fingerprint cards — particularly USCIS for immigration and adoption, foreign government consulates, gun trust and NFA applications, some federal programs, and any agency specifically requesting FD-258 format. We roll ink prints on FBI-standard FD-258 cards at our Columbus-area office and ensure every finger is clear before you leave.

Frequently Asked Questions
The USCIS form says I need two sets of FD-258 cards. Is that two cards or two sets of two cards?
Usually two individual FD-258 cards (each card captures all 10 fingers). Some agencies want a "set" which is two cards — confirm with your agency. We can print however many cards you need.
Do I mail the cards myself or do you send them?
You take the completed cards and mail them yourself to the agency (USCIS, ATF, consulate, etc.). We complete the fingerprinting portion — the submission and mailing is your responsibility.
My FD-258 cards were rejected for smearing. How do you prevent that?
We use controlled ink application, a consistent rolling technique, and dry each card before handling. We inspect all impressions before you leave and re-roll any smeared or light fingers.
