If you need your own copy of your FBI record for personal or international use, that is an FBI Identity History Summary. Let us know, and we will capture and submit your prints electronically and explain how to request the summary directly from the FBI.
What if my fingerprints get rejected?
Electronic Live Scan flags a low-quality print in real time, so we re-capture it during your visit. In the rare case Ohio BCI or the FBI still returns a submission, we re-capture your prints again at no additional service charge.
How long are my results valid?
That depends on the requirement. Many Ohio licensing boards and employers treat a background check as valid for a set window, often one year and sometimes longer, and ask for a fresh check after that or when you change employers. Your board or HR department sets the validity period. The fingerprints themselves do not expire, but the check tied to them does.
