Frequently Asked Questions
I took my pre-licensing course but haven't applied to the Division yet. Can I get fingerprinted now?
Yes — many applicants get fingerprinted before submitting the full application so there's no delay. You just need the correct ORI, which is provided in the ODREPL application materials.
A felony from 8 years ago shows up on my background check. Will I get licensed?
The Division has discretion for offenses older than 5 years. The nature of the crime matters — a financial crime (fraud, theft) is more problematic than an unrelated offense. We recommend contacting ODREPL before applying.
