ITIN Renewal in Pataskala, OH

ITINs that have not been used on a federal tax return in three consecutive years automatically expire. Additionally, ITINs issued before 2013 with specific middle digits (70-87 already expired; 88, 90-92, 94-99 in various rotations) require renewal under PATH Act rules. If you're a Pataskala ITIN holder and you've received a CP-48 notice, or your ITIN is on the expired list, we handle the renewal application.

Why this ITIN Renewal page is written for Pataskala

communities where new arrivals often join families already established in central Ohio for the lower cost of living — and Pataskala, with a population near 17,276, reflects that mix in its schools, workplaces, and houses of worship.

Central Ohio tax filers tend to need ITIN preparation, expat returns, multi-state W-2 filings, and ITIN-dependent child tax credit work — and the document trail matters more than the math. Our Licking County clients receive a complete return walkthrough — line by line — so they understand what was claimed, what was deducted, and why.

Pataskala sits in Central Ohio, agricultural roots with a growing share of residents commuting into the Columbus metro for healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing jobs. Licking County, where Pataskala is located, is a mid-sized Ohio community where most county document services are available locally, though some federal appointments still require driving to the regional field office.

rural and small-town drive routes feed into I-71 or U.S. 23 for the final approach to our Morse Rd office. From Pataskala (ZIP 43062), the trip is roughly 17 miles each way.

The 17-mile drive from Pataskala (~27 min) makes it practical for an evening or Saturday tax appointment. We also serve families across the rest of Central Ohio, where many of our Pataskala clients have relatives, coworkers, and shared community ties.

Our Pataskala clients commonly include families served by Southwest Licking Local Schools.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my ITIN has expired?+

Check the middle digits of your ITIN (the four digits between the 9XX and the last four). If those middle digits are 70-87, your ITIN has already expired. Digits 88, 90-92, and 94-99 have rotated through expiration cycles. The IRS sends CP-48 notices to ITINs scheduled for expiration. If you haven't filed a federal return in 3 years, your ITIN has also expired by lack of use.

Can I file taxes with an expired ITIN?+

You can, but the return will be processed without certain credits — the Child Tax Credit, American Opportunity Credit, and Premium Tax Credit are all reduced or denied if the ITIN was expired at the time of filing. Refunds may also be delayed. Best practice: renew before filing.

Do all my family members need to renew separately?+

Each family member with an ITIN renews using their own Form W-7. However, we can submit multiple W-7s in a single IRS packet — which we do for families to keep things organized. Each renewal still costs the same; bulk submission doesn't reduce per-person processing.

How far is your office from Pataskala?+

Our office at 3185 Morse Rd, Suite 15, Columbus is approximately 17 miles from Pataskala — typically a 27-minute drive. We're on the north side of Columbus between Cleveland Ave and I-71 with free parking. Walk in any day Monday through Saturday 10am–6pm, or Sunday 10am–4pm.

Do Pataskala residents owe school district income tax?+

If you live within the Southwest Licking Local Schools boundary, you may owe Ohio school district income tax on top of federal and Ohio IT-1040 state tax. The SD-100 return is filed alongside your Ohio return. We handle all three (federal, state, school district) as part of standard tax preparation.
